Equipment Assembly - General Shop Technician SUMMARY: We are looking for a flexible, well organized , mechanically inclined individual to work in our fabrication shop and parts departments. This position is perfect for someone with various mechanical and painti ng skills and a heavy desire to learn a skilled trade. Responsibilities include large equipment module assembly, clean/prep and spray paint frames and equipment , assist other employees, off-loading freight and moving equipment, keep shop and outside yard organized and clean , deliver/pickup equipmen t, and other general shop duties. Potential growth into a technical position for the right candidate. REQUIREMENTS: Strong mechanical and organizational skills. Forklift experienc e Spray p ainting and pr ep for painting is necessary. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanics. Can use hand tools and small machinery such as saws, sanders, grinders, drills, etc. Some welding skills would be a plus. Work well with other employees. Own hand tools. Heavy lifti ng from time to time. Drug testing is required VALID CA DRIVERS LICENSE and CLEAN DMV are absolutely necessary. Do not apply without them. JOB DESCRIPTION: Safely operate a forklift. Unload trucks and stock equipment. Assist with asse mbly of equipment packages. Spray p ainting of new and used eq uipment. Clean parts and equipment under repair or for return to customers. Assist other employees in -house or on the job site when necessary. Wash and maintain company vehicles when necessary. Sweep, clean and maintain the warehouse and yard . Preventative maintenance for the forklift or company vehicles when required . (i.e. check oil, batteries, etc.) Perform other du ties as assigned. BENEFITS : We offer sick, holiday and vacation pay.
