Equipment Assembly Technician
Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift 8:00am - 4:30pm
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Equipment Assembly Technician to join our growing production team. In this role, you will assemble commercial equipment using hand tools, power tools, engineering drawings, and work instructions. If you are mechanically inclined, enjoy building equipment, and take pride in producing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electrical components for commercial equipment.
- Install pumps, motors, valves, heaters, piping, fittings, hoses, controls, and related components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, bills of materials, and assembly instructions.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, drills, and measuring equipment.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
- Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrect parts.
- Assist with equipment testing and final inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Assist in other production areas as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, maintenance, or fabrication experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic drawings and written instructions.
- Experience with mechanical assembly and the use of common shop tools.
- Basic knowledge of pumps, motors, plumbing, piping, or electrical components is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and manufacturing processes.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
