We currently have an opportunity for an Equipment Coordinator in Lisle, IL. 

Responsibilities:

Fleet Compliance and Documentation 

  •       Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment assets, including heavy machinery, vehicles, and support tools.
  •       Oversee equipment mobilization and demobilization across job sites.
  •       Ensure equipment is available and in working condition to support project schedules.
  •       Optimize equipment cost utilization to improve profitability for the region.

Maintenance and Repairs 

  •       Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
  •       Coordinate repairs and service schedules with mechanics, vendors, or in-house maintenance teams.
  •       Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with manufacturer and OSHA guidelines.

Procurement and Disposition 

  •       Evaluate equipment needs and coordinate the acquisition of new machinery.
  •       Manage vendor relationships and negotiate equipment rentals or purchases.
  •       Oversee disposal or resale of obsolete or underutilized equipment to recover value.

Budgeting and Cost Control 

  •       Monitor and report on equipment-related costs (fuel, maintenance, repairs, rentals).
  •       Work closely with project teams and accounting to track job-specific equipment costs.
  •       Identify opportunities for cost savings and fleet optimization.
  • Pay invoices for equipment and ensure accurate cost allocation to projects.

Compliance and Safety 

  •       Ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations and emissions standards.
  •       Coordinate with safety and field teams to ensure proper operator training and certifications.
  •       Investigate equipment incidents and implement corrective actions.

Vendor & Internal Coordination 

  • Serve as point of contact for local vendors, repair facilities, and transport providers. 
  • Collaborate with corporate fleet, safety, and accounting teams to ensure alignment with company policies. 
  • Maintain strong communication with field personnel, superintendent, and project teams.

Qualifications:

 

  • 2-5 years in fleet coordination, equipment management, or construction operations 
  • Strong organization and time- management skills and attention to detail 
  • Knowledge of vehicles and equipment for construction applications 
  • Experience coordinating maintenance and working with third-party vendors 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet or asset management systems 
  • Strong communications and problem-solving skills

Minimum Salary: USD $60,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $70,000.00/Yr.
