What You'll Do

As an Equipment Fabricator, you''ll work with our Maintenance and Engineering team to fabricate, assemble, install, and support stainless steel processing equipment. This hands-on role combines TIG welding, fabrication, assembly, and occasional customer-site installation work. We strongly believe in Safety First, Quality Always for our employees, products, and customers. Your initiative to follow detailed, complex directions,mechanical aptitude and development of advanced skills with stainless and fine gauge steel, will be recognised and appreciated.

Core Responsibilities

• Utilize hand tools and fabrication machinery for cutting, shaping, grinding, drilling, and forming components.
• Perform TIG welding and stainless steel fabrication to manufacture and assemble equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished equipment meets specifications and workmanship standards.
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely when moving materials and equipment.
• Assist with small assembly projects and equipment preparation.
• Support inventory control and ordering of fabrication parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Travel 5-10% to customer locations for equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.

What We Look For

• High school diploma or GED required. Technical college degree, welding certificate, journeyman status, or related vocational training ideal.
• 1-3+ years of TIG and/or MIG stainless steel welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical schematics.
• Experience using fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools such as grinders, sanders, drills, and cutoff wheels.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment as needed.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver''s license and ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred

• Experience in food, beverage, or sanitary stainless steel manufacturing environments.
• Sanitary welding certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Previous experience with equipment installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Forklift and overhead crane operating experience.

What We Offer

The hiring range for this position is $23.00-$26.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Shift Hours are 700AM-330PM, Monday-Friday with Overtime Available
