**Job Description** **POSITION SUMMARY** An Equipment Installer I is responsible for quality installation of equipment in Data Center/Construction environments as specified in engineering instructions and drawings and in accordance with customer standards. This is a field-based position, requiring regional and occasional national travel. **RESPONSIBILITIES** - Install equipment in Data Center/Construction environments - On-site analysis of job drawings, specifications and MOPs - Ensure quality installations by conforming to all applicable standards - Perform all work with safety as the top priority. This includes following all company and customer mandated procedures as well as utilizing the proper PPE for the task at hand - Maintain professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service - Use computer for Data Entry/Administrative tasks - Ability to pass background, drug, and motor vehicle screening **QUALIFICATIONS** - High school diploma or equivalent - Strong verbal, written and customer-facing skills - Basic computer skills to include MS Office or equivalent - Basic knowledge and skills with hand tools **STANDARD TRAINING REQUIREMENTS** - OSHA10 required, OSHA30 preferred - Fall protection preferred - Manlift/Forklift certification preferred **PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS** - Medium Lifting (30 Ibs. - 45 Ibs.) - Heavy Lifting (over 50 Ibs.) - Frequent Standing - Frequent kneeling / crawling / stooping - Frequent bending / twisting - Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders) - Frequent driving (car, van, truck - Noise Level (Medium / High need to shout to be heard) - Working around moving machinery (fork-lifts, tractors) - Protective Equipment Required (earplugs, gloves, eyewear, respirator, mask, etc.) **TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED** - 80% The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities. **OUR CORE PRINCIPALS:** Safety.
