Description:

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an Equipment Integration Lead. This onsite role is responsible for leading the installation, integration, startup, and optimization of manufacturing equipment while coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Newton, NC

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead equipment integration projects from concept, design, installation, commissioning, and operational handoff.
  • Coordinate activities across manufacturing, process engineering, quality, facilities, maintenance, automation, EHS, and supply chain teams.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and integration strategies.
  • Manage equipment vendors throughout design, FAT/SAT, installation, troubleshooting, and acceptance phases.
  • Ensure equipment compatibility with facility infrastructure, utilities, automation systems, and production processes.
  • Oversee startup, debugging, testing, commissioning, and performance optimization activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive resolution of technical issues during equipment deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and engineering standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, change controls, SOPs, risk assessments, and turnover packages.
  • Track project milestones, budgets, risks, and schedules while providing stakeholder updates.
  • Support training and knowledge transfer for operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, uptime, throughput, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in equipment integration, manufacturing engineering, capital project execution, or production scale-up environments.
  • Experience leading equipment installation, startup, and commissioning activities.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment, facility integration, and production support processes.
  • Proven project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex equipment and system interactions.
  • Equipment design experience utilizing CAD software.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using SPC, JMP, Minitab, R, OriginPro, or similar tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in advanced manufacturing or high-tech production environments.
  • Knowledge of FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, or related validation methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS, ERP, or engineering documentation systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
