Our client, a Aeronautics and Space company, is looking for a Equipment Maintenance Technician for their Kinston, NC location.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain in operational way industrial means by exploiting the best practice and by integrating the changes of the standards.
- Perform works defined into the preventative maintenance plan for machinery, jigs and tools in order to ensure their readiness and availability.
- Inputs: Raw materials, machinery, jigs and tools, standards parts and components, documentation (maintenance plan, technical instruction, maintenance manual, work order and job card).
- Outputs: Equipment ready for use and associated documentation.
- Conducts routine, periodic or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
- Uses hand and power tools.
- Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
- Uses PLC, CNC along with blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Move and place in correct position heavy equipment, real property and installed property in accordance with established methods.
- Accomplish all necessary rigging.
- Obtain and deliver material and equipment necessary to support plant maintenance and repair.
- Work from diagrams, prints, specifications or verbal orders.
- Use hand tools, powered tools and shop equipment.
- Perform disassembly and assembling operations necessary to accomplish assignment.
- Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and order parts required to accomplish the tasks (except as relates to inventory, store, record, issue and any other duties related to material support technician.)
Requirements:
- Experience troubleshooting electrical schematics.
- Preferred: Experience with industrial / automation maintenance.
- Experience with CNC or PLC systems.
- Work experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Fanuc.
- Client facility in Kinston, NC — maintains and repairs automated gantry systems, PLCs, CNC machinery, and tooling fixtures.
- 2–5 years of industrial or electro-mechanical maintenance experience; mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; High School diploma or technical degree;
- Knowledge of station safety, quality (clean as you go / Foreign Object Debris) and OSHA regulations
- Must have basic skills of using a variety of tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to articulate complex issues to others.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters is essential.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: Able to enter, generate and retrieve information using a computer (SAP and Excel knowledge required)
- High School Diploma/GED or WorkKeys Assessment completion
- The ability to successfully complete the following training provided by Client after recruitment:
- Health & Safety
- General aircraft familiarization
- Quality Training
- Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of equipment maintenance skills and practices
