    Description

    onsemi is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician - Thin Films. As an Equipment Maintenance Technician at onsemi's 200mm manufacturing facility in Gresham, Oregon, you will work in a dynamic team environment and perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance proficiently on a variety of innovative semiconductor manufacturing tools. Each day, you will be challenged by working on a diverse set of tools with a world-class team.

    Shift B- Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every other Saturday, 7 PM -7:06 AM

    On the job Conditions:

    • Work is performed in a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.
    • May require the use of an APR (air-purifying respirator).
    • May require the occasional use of personal protective equipment, including but not limited to aprons, heat gloves, and full-face masks.
    • Requires standing for up to 75% of the shift
    • Requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and voltages up to 1500 Volts.

    Qualifications

    • Note: You must be able and willing to work Shift B- Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, every other Saturday, 7 PM -7:06 AM
    • Associate/technical degree or currently working towards a degree.
    • High-level attention to detail
    • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction
    • Ability to independently learn systems and processes associated with the role
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 2+ years of prior technician experience with Thin Films area equipment: AMAT Endura - both PVD/CVD (TxZ), AMAT Centura (HDP and DxZ), AMAT Producer (SACVD), Novellus Concept 2 (Speed, Sequel, and Altus).
    • MS Excel and Word skills are a plus

    Responsibilities

    • Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose the root cause, and make reliability improvement recommendations.
    • Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment in accordance with maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
    • Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
    • Drive solutions and guidelines, recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
    • Perform scheduled tool qualifications.
    • Vendor management and coordination.
    • Opportunity to provide leadership to other technicians by providing training and mentoring.
    • Other duties as assigned.
