General Definition of Work
The equipment mechanic, under general supervision, performs skill-based work with minimal decision-making discretion performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of district vehicles and equipment to include but not limited to small engines, agriculture tractors & heavy duty construction equipment, medium & heavy duty truck (class 7-8), light duty vehicles, trailer repairs (enclosed, open & box truck bodies), and refrigerated trucks. Position is responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance programs for assigned fleet. Employee performs district-level work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the Building Services Equipment Shop Foreman or Supervisor of Equipment.

Hourly NC 10/ Full-time, 12 months

Place of Work
The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.
