Position Overview: This role is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the Equipment department.
Essential Duties:
- Maintains daily fuel logs for all equipment statewide and hour meter readings and enters data necessary to support preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Enters, codes, and processes trucking payroll timecards accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintains telematics and GPS tracking systems to monitor equipment location and operating hours.
- Maintains company fuel card accounts and user access as assigned.
- Maintains all equipment licensing, registrations, permits, and safety inspection records and ensures registrations, renewals, and inspections are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinates equipment transportation and interisland shipping arrangements as needed.
- Assists the Foreman in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop and work environment in accordance with company safety and environmental policies.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to equipment, maintenance, parts, and contracts.
- Assists Purchasing with ordering materials, parts, and supplies for various company departments.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
- Works closely with Fuel and Service truck drivers, purchasing and EQ Manager
- Promotes awareness of and follows Company and general safety policies. Must participate in Safety Inspections and Safety Task Analysis.
- Exhibits a core understanding of mutual respect and good customer service orientation in interactions with all people in the workplace.
Working Conditions:
Work Hours: M-F 6:30am to 3:00pm (30 min lunch)

Mental and Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 15 lbs.
Communication Demands:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure effective internal and external communications.
- Internal Contacts: Shop personnel, Purchasing Personal, Accounting staff, other staff as needed.
- External Contacts: Vendors, maintenance providers and outside repair shops.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge:
Math: Uses basic math functions to perform daily tasks.
Reading: Must be able to read and understand technical material.
Licenses: Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract.
Education: College degree or equivalent applicable experience.
Experience: 5 years of purchasing/warehousing experience. Experience in a vehicle or equipment repair environment required.
Other: Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, Email. Adaptable to in-house software. Keyboarding skills sufficient to complete tasks in a timely manner.
