Schedule: Monday-Thursday DayshiftHours: 6:30 am- 5:00 pm (10 hour days)Pay: $35.00 per hourWork Location: 2700 E County Rd 82 Wellington, CO.The Equipment Operator will be responsible for safely performing basic tasks required to operate the coal handling system, operate industrial mobile equipment, and perform general maintenance on equipment and facilities at our customer, Rawhide Power Plant- Platte River Power Authority, coal-fired power plant in Wellington, CO.These are just a few of the benefits you can expect from working with Savage

Here is what you will be doing

Operation of Heavy Industrial Equipment for the purpose of stockpiling coal, maintaining roads, application of dust suppression, etc.Perform daily inspections of equipment for safety and operational deficienciesPerform basic tasks in the operation of the Coal handling systemExecute general maintenance on mobile equipment, conveyor systems, crushers, and train unloading systemsActively participate in Savage's safety programs

This is what we need from you:

High School or GED5+ years of experienceExperience in the operation of D10 dozers, front-end loaders, excavators, and other heavy equipmentPossess a positive, forward-thinking, safety-minded attitudeWilling to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as neededAbility to read, write, and understand English, follow written and/or verbal instruction, and possess basic math and computer skillsWork with a team, take direction from supervisors, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rulesMust be able to clear a criminal background checkClass C Driver's License required

Here are the physical requirements you will need

Work in an environment containing coal dust, hazardous noise, confined spaces, and in hot or cold environments

Work at heights, climbing stairs, and climbing laddersWalk on uneven ground up to 3 miles per shiftMust be able to pass a fit test and pulmonary function test for the purposes of wearing a respirator and recertify annually or as neededLift up to 50 pounds frequently
