Equipment Operator

Description

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Equipment Operators for projects located in the Fayetteville, NC area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $24-25/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:          

•  Operate a variety of heavy equipment: excavator/trackhoe loader backhoe bulldozer dump truck tamper and water truck
• Conduct routine inspections on equipment including moving parts, welds, and structural integrity prior to operating
• Inform supervisor of all defects and malfunctions
• Perform minor adjustments as needed
• Assist mechanic with major repairs
• Perform routine maintenance including lubricating, fueling, and cleaning equipment
• Monitor gauges and other indicators ensuring safe operation
• Grade, shape, and form work area
• Backfill, spread, fill & stabilize stone
• Load trucks and dump buckets
• Transport dump buckets
• Move equipment including rigging and attaching equipment to bucket hook
• Adhere to all safety rules guidelines and codes
• Maintain records of time worked and materials used
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience
• Pass a drug screen, and background check
