Murrey's Disposal, a trusted name in environmental services and a proud member of the Waste Connections family, is seeking askilled and safety-focused Equipment Operatorto join ourTransfer Station team in Fife, WA. This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you'll operate heavy equipment to support essentialwaste managementoperations that serve the local community.

Pay:$26.00-$26.50 per hour (DOE) with regular wage increases

Schedule:Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (5-7 hours of overtime per week as needed)

This is a handson, outdoor position at our transfer station. You'll operatefront loadersandskid steers, help keep work areas clean and organized, and follow safety standards that protect you and your team.

What You'll Do (DaytoDay Responsibilities)

Safely operatefront loadersandskid steersto support daily site operations

Conduct dailyequipment inspections, identify issues, and report maintenance needs promptly

Maintain clean, organized, and hazardfree work areas and workstations

Follow company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times

Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals

Take direction from senior employees and adapt to changing assignments or equipment needs on short notice

Work Environment & Physical Expectations

Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind)

Frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs, and getting in/out of equipment

Ability to lift 50+ pounds unassisted regularly

Exposure to dust, noise, odors, uneven terrain, and moving equipment traffic

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of recent, handsonheavy equipment operationexperience in an industrial environment (e.g., transfer station, landfill, construction site, quarry, or similar)

Verifiable experience operatingfront loadersandskid steerssafely and independently.

Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted regularly and perform physical job duties throughout the shift

Ability to work outdoors yearround and maintain strongsituational awarenessin active work areas

Proven commitment to safety: consistent PPE use, adherence to procedures, and safe operating practices

Ability to read, speak, and understand English for safetycritical communication, training, and coordination; Spanish is a plus

Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours, including 5-7 hours of overtime per week as operations require

Willingness to take direction from senior employees and adapt to changing assignments or equipment on short notice

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in transfer station or landfill operations

Ability to operate multiple equipment types (e.g., excavator, yard goat/hostling, forklift) safely and independently

Documented experience working in safetysensitive environments and following safety policies

Strongteam communicationand coordination skills in fastpaced, changing conditions

Familiarity with dailyequipment inspectionsand reporting maintenance issues promptly
