Equipment Operator – Hanover, PA
Staiman Recycling Corporation is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Equipment Operator to join our Hanover team. This position is responsible for operating a material handler and other equipment to support daily recycling operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a material handler and other heavy equipment as assigned.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Move, sort, and organize recyclable materials throughout the yard.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping on equipment.
- Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient yard operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
- Experience with material handlers, excavators, loaders, or similar equipment is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues.
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
