? Now Hiring: Equipment Operators – Heart of Florida Landfill

We are currently seeking experienced, safety‑conscious Equipment Operators to join our team at Heart of Florida Landfill . Prior landfill or waste experience is a big plus , but we’re willing to train the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
✅ Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays
✅ Hours: 45–55 hours per week
✅ Pay:$24–$26+ per hour DOE
? Key Responsibilities
+ Perform general maintenance around the site and facility
+ Spread and compact trash using a Compactor
+ Apply daily cover using a Dozer
+ Excavate soil with an Excavator
+ Haul soil as needed
? Working Conditions
+ Outdoor landfill environment
+ Work near moving mechanical parts
+ Exposure to wet/humid conditions, vibration, fumes, or airborne particles
+ Clean, well‑lit, and ventilated areas
✅ What We’re Looking For
+ Experience operating a forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred
+ Ability to learn and safely operate site‑specific equipment independently
+ Willingness to follow PPE requirements and safety protocols
+ Team‑oriented mindset with flexibility to take on new responsibilities
+ Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
