    Role Description This full-time, on-site Equipment Operator role is based in Loveland, CO. The Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment for excavation, grading, trenching, and backfilling activities on commercial job sites. Daily tasks include loading and moving materials, assisting with utility installation (water, sewer, and drainage), following site plans and directions from supervisors, and helping maintain a clean, organized work area. The role also involves performing basic equipment inspections, reporting maintenance needs, following safety procedures and traffic control guidelines, and working collaboratively with crews to meet project schedules.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators and related machinery (Equipment Operation, Heavy Equipment, Excavation).
    • \n
    • Experience operating forklifts or similar material-handling equipment, with attention to load limits and site safety (Forklift Operation).
    • \n
    • Skills in routine equipment checks, minor servicing, and reporting mechanical issues to maintenance staff (Equipment Maintenance).
    • \n
    • Understanding of construction site safety practices, utility installation processes, and basic grading principles.
    • \n
    • Ability to read and follow instructions, site plans, and supervisor guidance; strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
    • \n
    • Reliable attendance, ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and capability to perform physically demanding tasks.
    • \n
    • Prior experience in excavation, utilities, or construction environments preferred; relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., equipment operator or forklift certification) are a plus.
    • \n
    • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
