About the Role: Join WHITTENDALE EXCAVATING CORP as an Equipment Operator in Mount Laurel, NJ, where you'll play a vital role in our excavation projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate heavy machinery including excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to meet project goals.
Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Assist in site preparation, grading, and excavation tasks.
Communicate effectively with team members and other trades on site.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications a plus.
Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction or excavation.
Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations in construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
