Job Description
Nucor Trademark Metals Recycling LLC is hiring an Equipment Operator - Night Shift (Mondays-Fridays, 5 pm-1 am) in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment such as cranes and loaders to safely move scrap materials throughout the yard in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have at least 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience in manufacturing or construction, physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs while working in extreme weather conditions, and strong mechanical and safety aptitude.
Compensation & Benefits
- Unlimited weekly production bonus potential and yearly profit sharing averaging ~17% of annual earnings.

Job Responsibilities
Key Job Duties
- Safely operate heavy and light equipment (cranes, loaders, forklifts, skid steers) to load, move, and clear scrap material, trucks, and conveyor feeds.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, maintain job site cleanliness, and execute general labor tasks (sweeping, shoveling) as needed.
- Maintain clear radio communication with teammates for production and safety, participate in safety programs, and cross-train across various roles.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment experience in manufacturing, scrap metal, or construction settings.
- Physical stamina to stand/walk most of the shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors under extreme weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of equipment operating principles, hazards, mechanical ability, and active adherence to OSHA safety protocols.
- Reliable attendance for night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays, with strong instruction-following skills without constant supervision.
- Bilingual skills and residence within 50 miles of Tampa, FL preferred.
- Able to work overnight shift Mondays-Friday, 5 pm to 1 am.
