    Equipment Sales Specialist
    Hillyard, Inc. is currently seeking an Equipment Sales Specialist to join our Sales team in Columbus, OH.

    As an Equipment Sales Specialist, you'll work directly with customers to assess their equipment needs, demonstrate industry-leading commercial cleaning equipment, and recommend solutions that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and overall facility health. You'll partner closely with our Account Managers to identify new opportunities, grow equipment sales throughout the territory, and deliver exceptional customer experiences from the initial meeting through installation.
     
    What You'll Do
    • Meet with customers to access their equipment needs and recommend the most effective cleaning equipment solutions.
    • Demonstrate commercial cleaning equipment and educate customers on product features, and return on investment.
    • Support Account Managers by introducing equipment solutions to new and existing customers.
    • Develop opportunities for equipment replacement programs, planned maintenance agreements and equipment upgrades.
    • Coordinate and execute onsite equipment demonstrations, ensuring proper setup, operation, and follow-up.
    • Prepare equipment quotations, proposals, and product recommendations in collaboration with the sales team.
    • Manage the equipment sales pipeline by tracking opportunities, maintaining CRM records, and following up on leads.
    • Train customer personnel on the proper operation, maintenance, and safe use of equipment.
    • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal sales & service teams.
    • Participate in regional trade shows, customer events, open houses, and product demonstrations.
    • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, competitor offerings, and manufacturer product updates.
    • Achieve equipment sales goals and contribute to overall company revenue and profitability objectives.
    What We're Looking For
    • Experience in outside sales, equipment sales, customer-facing technical roles, or related industries.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand, demonstrate and explain equipment operations and functionality.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
    • Self-motivated and results driven, with the ability to work independently while managing a territory.
    • Strong customer service and consultative selling skills with the ability to identify customer needs and recommend effective solutions.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn CRM and other business tools.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
    • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
