Job Title: Equipment Service Operator

Location: Rochester, NY 14626

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: B Shift (2:30 PM 10:30 PM, Monday Friday)

PR: $20.00/HR

General Responsibilities
  • Follows established procedures, safety practices, and emergency procedures.
  • Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles vessels, pumps, lines, and assorted small parts.
  • Provides Formulation and Coating with clean, correctly set-up equipment in a timely manner.
  • Reports directly to the area supervisor.
  • Handles all solution returns and determines disposition (save/sewer).
  • Troubleshoots equipment issues.
  • Maintains a safe and neat work area.
  • Documents defective equipment.
Definitions
  • Clean: Equipment that has been cleaned and is free of soil and/or stains.
    • Equipment on shelves is inspected and deemed clean.
    • Vessels in the clean marshaling area with a vessel card are considered clean unless otherwise identified.
  • Dirty: Equipment that is soiled or stained.
    • Any equipment not on a shelf is considered uninspected and must be treated as dirty.
    • "Clean" parts on a cart must be inspected before use.

The Equipment Service Area is comprised of operators committed to teamwork and cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to clean, assemble, and inspect equipment used in the manufacture of Vitros slides in order to remain a world leader in Health Diagnostics.

  • Responsible for providing clean equipment.
  • Responsible for proper equipment/filtration setup.
  • Troubleshoots equipment issues.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and bending.
  • Moderate heavy lifting.
Job Conditions
  • Exposure to chemical fumes.
  • Wet working conditions.
Qualification
  • Operator is considered qualified when:
    • All relevant SOPs are read and understood.
    • Tasks are successfully performed under supervision.
    • Able to detect out-of-control situations.
