Ben Franklin Transit has had several achievements over the last few years. We led the way as a prime sponsor of a first ever community-wide forum on Smart Growth and Livable Communities in November of 2004. That year we were also recognized as one of the “Most Improved Transit Systems in the United States” by Metro Magazine, a leading transit trade journal. In 2006 we received the City of Richland’s “Green Business of the Year” award and in 2007 we received the Governor’s Award for Pollution Prevention and Sustainability. Our ridership continues to grow as more and more people discover the ease and comfort of using our services. In 2008, we set all-time ridership records with just over 5.5 million passenger boardings.
We are very proud of all of our accomplishments; but we do not intend to rest on those. We intend to continue to make Ben Franklin Transit as efficient and effective as we can. Again, thank you for your interest in Ben Franklin Transit. We hope the information contained here will help you get the most out of our wonderful area.
