The Equipment Specialist will be responsible for gathering vibration data, managing the equipment database, and performing basic analysis of machine condition. They will utilize technical vibration equipment to monitor equipment condition, which will require training to understand how to be used properly.


Responsibilities

  • Build and repair pumps.
  • Collect vibration data for specific equipment at the startup and on a schedule.
  • Collect and properly store data from monitoring devices in the equipment database.
  • Inspect equipment components for proper installation. 
  • Enter data into SAP and vibration analysis software.
  • Participate in maintenance training and classes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs.
  • Participate in vibration analysis training.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.


EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience is required. Preferably in a chemical industry or other manufacturing environments.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Possesses knowledge of methods and techniques used to operate, repair, and maintain facilities and equipment.
  • Machinery lubrication experience preferred.
  • Able to learn, understand, and utilize various tools and equipment.
  • Understands occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Must be Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Consistent detail orientation is required.
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks as needs change.
  • Possess excellent time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
