Our new client operates two large-scale advanced manufacturing facilities in Central Texas. These sites support 24/7 production of highly specialized technology components used across multiple industries. The campuses include clean-room environments, engineering labs, and high-volume production lines that require a diverse, skilled workforce.

 

Job Summary

We are seeking Equipment Technician – Test Technology to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the uptime of test floor equipment. The position provides support for probers, testers, probe cards, and other related testing equipment to ensure smooth and continuous test operations.

 

Job Description

  • Perform preventive maintenance on test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair down probers and testers.
  • Handle probe card changes, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and replacement components.
  • Monitor equipment performance and support test floor operations.
  • Utilize software tools and data trending to support manufacturing operations.

 

Skills Required

  • Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with semiconductor test equipment preferred, specifically:
    • TEL
    • Keysight
    • Teradyne
    • Advantest
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Safety-first and quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a changing environment.
  • Self-motivated individual who actively develops technical skills.
  • Hands-on equipment technician with strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Comfortable working with complex manufacturing equipment.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to analyze equipment/data trends.
  • Semiconductor test equipment technicians.
  • Equipment maintenance technicians from semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Candidates with experience supporting probers, testers, or related automated manufacturing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Semiconductor manufacturing or equipment maintenance experience.

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Preferred: Associate degree or technical education.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Schedule notes: 1st shift 8A-5P; Monday - Friday
  • Expect to be in bunny suits in the fab area nearly 100% of the shift
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening

 

Pay rate

  • $20-26 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
