Primary Talent Partners has two contract openings for Equipment Technicians to join our large Medical Device client in Billerica, MA. One opening is 2nd shift (10am - 6pm), the other is 3rd shift (6pm - 3am). These are both 6-month contract positions with the opportunity for extension.

Pay:$30.00 - 40.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.

Schedule: 2nd shift (10am - 6pm), 3rd shift (6pm - 3am)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist with equipment setup, installation, and commissioning for new or modified manufacturing equipment.
  • Support equipment calibration activities and ensure equipment meets required specifications.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities, failures, or performance trends to engineering teams.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Support root cause investigations for equipment failures and assist with implementation of corrective actions.
  • Perform equipment changeovers, adjustments, and basic process setup to support production needs.
  • Maintain equipment logs, maintenance records, and calibration documentation to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with manufacturing and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of hands on experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing or electromechanical equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues independently

  • Experience working from schematics, engineering drawings, SOPs, and technical documentation

  • Background in calibration, testing, alignment, and equipment setup within a regulated or high precision environment

  • Ability to document maintenance activities using Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain accurate equipment logs

  • Comfortable supporting 2nd or 3rd shift operations and working cross functionally with engineering and production teams
