Job Description
Minimum qualifications:
- Associate's degree with a focus in Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor processing equipment (vacuum systems, wet etch, lithography or chemical mechanical planarization (CMP) tools).
- Experience in reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Experience troubleshooting equipment by checking software logs, programmable logic controller (PLC) signals, and wiring to find the root cause of a failure.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with development of manufacturing processes including acceptance testing, startup, and qualification.
- 1 year of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation (drawings, schematics, standard operating procedure, etc.).
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership with an ability to search with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to understand hardware roadmaps.
- Experience supporting emergency response and safety teams.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, gas meters and calibration, disaster plans, laser safety, and x-ray equipment inspection and badge programs.
- Excellent sense of ownership with the ability to be detail-oriented and organized.

The Hardware Testing Engineering team ensures that this cutting-edge equipment is reliable. In the R&D lab, you design test equipment for prototypes of our machinery and develop the protocols used to scale these tests for the entire global team. With start-up roots and a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its engineering team with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

- Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Perform repairs and modifications on production tools.
- Execute electro-mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting on a variety of toolsets.
- Collaborate with process and equipment engineering to improve tool performance and reliability.
- Support the equipment engineering department with maintenance, tool installations, retrofits, and repairs as needed.
