POSITION DESCRIPTION
Summary / objective of position: To provide equity research support to the Research Department, collecting relevant financial information and assisting product managers and analysts in security selection and portfolio management. Essential functions of position: • Provide support to equity research analysts and product managers • Monitor daily news reports relevant to fund holdings and monitor list stocks • Maintain spreadsheets of key fundamental data and portfolio characteristics • Analyze performance attribution, evaluate return/risk characteristics, perform peer comparisons • Assist research analysts in expanding their coverage list and provide analytical support • Produce introductory reports that describe companies, basic fundamental and valuation data • Perform project work collecting third-party information and conducting data analysis • Help to produce research presentations and publications for internal and external use • Promote and maintain frequent interaction with product managers and analysts • Work on special projects as directed by the Director of Research • Develop skill set and experience necessary to become a research analyst • Leverage AI tools to accelerate and improve research processes Preferred education and experience • Four-year degree in Finance/Economics or related field • 0-3 years of investment research or related experience • Demonstrate commitment to achieving CFA designation • Strong analytical skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral • Good organizational skills • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team environment • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Prior experience with FactSet, Bloomberg, or Advent a plus Supervisory responsibility: N/A Travel required: N/A Work environment: Temperature controlled, office environment Physical demands: Must be able to stand or sit at computer for 8+ hours per day. May require extensive typing at times.
