Job description

What is the position? The team is looking for a Research Associate or Senior Associate to support equity research coverage of the Institutional Investors top ranked Property & Casualty Insurance sector in New York, NY. The candidate will also provide support for Business Service coverage for the team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and update company-specific and industry financial models
• Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies
• Author industry and company-specific research reports
• Closely follow industry and economic trends and oversee data collection
• Leverage AI to improve the team's efficiency and productivity
• Communicate investment ideas to institutional investors
• Other duties as necessary

Specific Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and should be comfortable working independently as well as in a fast-paced team-oriented environment. Prior P&C insurance or financial institutions experience is preferred, but not required. Evercore ISI offers a high quality, collegial and collaborative environment.

• Strong analytical and modeling capabilities
• Exceptional communication skills; the job entails significant writing
• Demonstrated interest in equity markets
• Concrete understanding of corporate finance
• Experience working with AI tools
• Background in equity research or investment banking preferred but not required
• S. degree required
• Progress towards CFA designation preferred

Expected Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $175,000
