At SAGE Concord, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, you'll work in one of the East Bay's premier specialty and emergency veterinary hospitals. Our state-of-the-art facility, opened in 2022, brings together experts in Emergency & Critical Care, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, and Integrative Medicine to deliver advanced, compassionate care.

Serve as the first point of contact for emergency clients, gathering patient information with empathy and professionalism.
Triage incoming emergency cases and communicate critical information to the clinical team.
Obtain patient histories and accurately document medical information in the electronic medical record.
Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs when appropriate.
Coordinate closely with veterinarians and technicians to prioritize cases and maintain efficient patient flow.
Enter service charges accurately during the intake process to support timely invoicing.
Prepare and maintain exam rooms for incoming emergency patients.
Communicate updates and set expectations with clients during emotionally challenging situations.
Support smooth shift transitions and contribute to efficient Emergency Department operations.
Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of clinical veterinary experience required; emergency or specialty hospital experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and emergency patient care.
Excellent communication, client service, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm, organized, and compassionate in a fast-paced emergency environment.
Comfortable lifting 40+ pounds and standing for extended periods.
Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

$5.50/hour shift differential for hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM
