We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency care in a fast-paced Emergency Department while utilizing the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for accurate documentation. The RN will assess, prioritize, and treat patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Department: Emergency Room (ER)
Schedule: 36–48 hours per week; 12-hour shifts (Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays as required)
Charting System: Epic EMR
Perform rapid patient assessments and triage according to established emergency department protocols.
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients with medical, surgical, traumatic, and behavioral health emergencies.
Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
Monitor and reassess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in clinical status.
Assist with emergency procedures including trauma resuscitations, cardiac emergencies, stroke alerts, and code situations.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, medications, and outcomes using the Epic EMR system.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Float to other appropriate units within competency when required by facility needs.
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state or compact state.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience.
Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required.
Experience using Epic EMR required.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
TNCC preferred.
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients
Familiarity with stroke, STEMI, and sepsis protocols
