ER RN

This is a full-time Emergency Room Registered Nurse opportunity in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The hospital is a 267-bed facility offering an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery, a main emergency room, a dedicated pediatric ER, and two freestanding ERs.

The role. The ER RN coordinates and delivers patient-centered care within the emergency department, working in close collaboration with physicians and the broader care team. Core clinical responsibilities include regularly assessing and reassessing patient pain to drive effective pain management, performing procedures and monitoring functions as ordered by providers, and documenting all care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record. The RN also plays an important education role — translating complex medical terminology to help patients, families, and caregivers understand diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and potential side effects, and preparing them for follow-up self-management including lifestyle and disease-prevention guidance.

What we're looking for.

• Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• 1 year of acute care ER RN experience required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

Schedule. Nights with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $27.72 - $39.60/hr plus $10,000 sign-on bonus
