Full-Time ER RN Supervisor – North Texas

Connected Health Care is partnering with a respected healthcare facility in North Texas to find an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse Supervisor (ER RN Supervisor) for a full-time leadership opportunity.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced ER RN, Charge Nurse, or Emergency Department Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career while remaining hands-on in patient care. The ideal candidate will bring strong emergency nursing experience, leadership skills, and a passion for supporting both patients and clinical staff.

ER RN Supervisor Job Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight for the Emergency Department

• Supervise, support, and serve as a resource for ER nurses and clinical staff

• Coordinate patient flow, staffing assignments, and departmental operations

• Provide direct emergency nursing care as needed

• Respond to emergency and high-acuity patient situations

• Assist with triage, assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, and emergency interventions

• Ensure nursing practices meet hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety requirements

• Support onboarding, orientation, education, and development of Emergency Department staff

• Assist with scheduling and staffing coverage for the department

• Promote strong communication between nursing staff, physicians, ancillary departments, and hospital leadership

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

• Assist with performance management, staff coaching, and employee development

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Help foster a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused work environment

Education & Experience Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred

• Active Texas Registered Nurse License or Compact RN License

• Previous Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience required

• Previous Charge RN, Lead RN, Supervisor, or nursing leadership experience strongly preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in high-acuity situations

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

• Experience in a rural, community, or critical access hospital setting is a plus

Certifications

• Current BLS certification required

• ACLS certification required

• PALS certification preferred or required based on facility guidelines

• TNCC certification preferred

• Additional emergency nursing certifications are a plus
