Position Purpose: Provides basic care to patients under the direct supervision of a nurse, including, but not limited to, activities of daily living, obtaining and documenting vital signs, maintaining stock supplies, applying simple dressings and other basic treatment as delegated by the nurse. Care is provided safely, effectively, and efficiently. Essential Functions: Performs basic nursing care based upon patients age-related needs. Care includes, but is not limited to activities of daily living, obtaining and documenting vital signs, applying simple dressings and other basic treatment as delegated by the nurse. Care is provided safely, effectively, and efficiently. 35% Ensures that the patient and other rooms are kept clean and orderly as instructed by nursing. 25% Observes patients condition and reports changes to the nurse. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. 10% Accurately orders supply for the department.
