JOB SUMMARY:

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES (other duties may be assigned) | |
1 | Relates to patients in a courteous and helping manner appropriate to a professional setting. Maintains a positive customer service attitude. |
2 | Prepares/assists patients for examination and treatment

3 | Performs and/or assists in the performance of the following patient related tasks and interventions under the order and supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician:
|
4 | Orders, organizes and maintains supplies from Central Service and Store Room within established guidelines and limits:
|
5 | Completes all documentation as required. |
6 | Maintains EMT/CNA certification, BLS, DAB, and other related training. |
7 | Assists with orientation of new employees. |
8 | Participates in the clinical observation visits of the EMT students. |
8 | Maintains confidentiality of all patient and hospital related communications and documentation. |
10 | Fosters a cooperative effort in meeting the goals of the team and sharing the workload. |
11 | Consistently demonstrates caring and compassion through behaviors and interactions in performance of all duties, recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of patients, families, other staff and physicians. |
12 | Adheres to the departmental and medical center policies on scheduling, overtime, sick time & time off. |
13 | Arrives punctually, takes appropriate time for breaks and uses sick time appropriately. |
