Purpose and role of job:

Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of Erema recycling machines, which are used to process plastic, including nonwoven materials, into high-quality recycled pellets.

Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:

·         Start up and shut down Erema machines following established procedures.

·         Monitor machine performance, promptly identifying and addressing any issues or malfunctions.

·         Adjust machine settings as necessary to maintain optimal output quality.

·         Feed plastic waste into the machine and remove recycled flakes from the output.

·         Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections.

·         Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

·         Report any major equipment issues to maintenance technicians for resolution.

·         Monitor the quality of recycled flakes to ensure compliance with established specifications.

·         Identify and report any defects or inconsistencies in the recycled material to maintain quality standards.

·         Adhere to all safety procedures and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

·         Report any safety hazards or incidents to ensure a safe working environment.

·         Maintain accurate records of machine operation, maintenance activities, and quality control data.

·         Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.

Education and experience requirements:

·         High School diploma or equivalent required

·         Ability to communicate orally and written.

·         Licensed a forklift operator.

·         Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

·         Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

·         Manufacturing experience preferred.

·         Forklift experience preferred.

  •   Data entry

Work Environment:

Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses.  Other PPE required based upon specific tasks.  Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.

Physical Requirements:

·         Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and bending over throughout a 12–hour shift.

·         Occasional climbing, kneeling, and reaching overhead during shift.

·         Occasional pushing and pulling with the arms and legs throughout shift.

·         Constant lifting or carrying boxes up to 50 lbs.

·         Constant light and strong grasping throughout shift.

·         Operation of forklifts and baler during shift.

·         Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.

  •   Required participation in a daily pre-shift warn-up routine.
