Location: San Jose region

Schedule: Full‑Time | Hybrid (Remote & On‑Site Client Visits)
Compensation: $85,000 – $102,000 annually, plus benefits. Compensation is based on location, experience, and job‑related factors
Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN) has provided ergonomic services for over 20 years. Many of our team members have been with PRN Ergonomic Services for 10+ years. We currently have an opening for an Ergonomist to serve our clients in the Northern California Bay area. We're looking for someone who has experience working with office ergonomics.
As an Ergonomist, you will deliver ergonomic services designed to create safe, comfortable, and productive work environments. You’ll partner with designated clients to assess workplaces, identify risk factors, develop ergonomic programs, and provide education to support long‑term employee well‑being.
About the Role
As an Ergonomist Specialist at PRN, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing workplace environments to enhance the safety, comfort, and efficiency of our clients. You will be responsible for assessing workstations, recommending ergonomic solutions, and educating individuals and organizations on best practices to prevent injuries and improve overall wellness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Workstation Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive ergonomic assessments of workstations in various settings, including offices, healthcare facilities, and industrial environments.
- Identify Risk Factors: Analyze tasks and job duties to identify potential ergonomic risk factors that may lead to musculoskeletal disorders or injuries.
- Recommend Solutions: Provide detailed recommendations and implement ergonomic solutions to improve workstations, equipment, and processes, such as chair adjustments, keyboard placements, and workflow modifications.
- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs and workshops to educate employees on ergonomic principles, proper body mechanics, and injury prevention techniques.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and workplace safety professionals, to create holistic ergonomic strategies.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, recommendations, and progress reports for clients and internal records.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Physical Therapy, or related field.
- Certification in Ergonomics or relevant professional accreditation preferred.
- Proven experience conducting ergonomic assessments and implementing solutions.
- Strong knowledge of ergonomic principles, human anatomy, and occupational biomechanics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in utilizing ergonomic assessment tools and software.
- Conduct on-site ergonomic assessments and evaluations.
- Lift and move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Utilize ergonomic tools and measurement devices to assess workstations.
- Travel to different client locations as required.
