Summary of Position Mission
Century Arms is seeking an ERP Administrator with hands-on experience supporting a manufacturing distribution ERP platform. This role owns the day-to-day administration, configuration, and cross-departmental support of Century's ERP environment, and serves as the primary liaison between internal departments and our ERP vendor(s).
This is fundamentally a liaison and business-enablement role rather than a analytical or development position. Our ERP vendors provide deep platform engineering, core code-level customization, and infrastructure support; the ERP Administrator translates business needs into system requirements, manages configuration within the platform's standard tools, coordinates vendor-delivered projects and support tickets, and ensures departments across the company can use the ERP effectively day to day. Candidates should be comfortable working within vendor-supported boundaries - knowing what to configure directly versus when to engage the vendor - rather than building custom code from scratch.
Century is advancing a multi-year ERP modernization roadmap. The current core platform is Epicor CMS, and the ideal candidate brings manufacturing ERP experience (Epicor, NetSuite, or similar) that will support both the existing system and Century's ongoing platform evolution.
Key Responsibilities
ERP System Administration & Vendor Liaison
- Administer day-to-day ERP operations, including user accounts, roles, permissions, security, saved searches, dashboards, and custom records.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Century Arms and the ERP vendor(s) (e.g., Epicor, NetSuite or similar) for support tickets, upgrades, patches, and system enhancements - providing business and process context so the vendor can execute technical work efficiently.
- Maintain development, test, and production environments in coordination with vendor support.
- Direct and maintain configurations and workflow automation using the platform's native administration tools, escalating deeper customization needs to the vendor as appropriate.
- Reduce dependency on external consultants for routine troubleshooting by building internal team capability and documentation.
Manufacturing & Distribution Operations Support
Optimize ERP workflows within a manufacturing and distribution environment, including:
High-volume SKU management and part supersession
Bill of Materials (BOM), MRP, and production management
Vendor lead times and backorder management
Multi-warehouse inventory management and manufacturer programs
Purchasing, quality, and shipping/receiving processes
Ensure ERP workflows support fast order turnaround, accurate inventory availability, and efficient logistics operations.
Liaison for Process Improvement
- Partner with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, Finance, Customer Service, and Marketing to map business processes and gather requirements.
- Identify process gaps and operational inefficiencies, and translate business needs into system configuration or vendor-supported technical changes.
- Own and maintain process documentation and SOPs.
Integrations Support
- Coordinate with the ERP vendor and third parties on integration such as EDI systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), CRM platforms, shipping systems, and analytics tools - defining requirements and business logic while the vendor manages the technical build.
Reporting, Data & AI-Assisted Tools
- Maintain dashboards, operational reports, and KPIs; new analytics module and native ERP reporting tools to deliver insights aligned to department needs.
- Support data imports, exports, and migrations, with a focus on data integrity and assist in clean master data.
- Apply AI-assisted ERP tools and copilots where available - for tasks such as automated report generation, invoice/transaction matching, and demand or inventory forecasting - while maintaining human review of AI-generated recommendations before they affect production data.
ERP Projects & Enhancements
- Lead or support ERP enhancement projects, integrations, and module rollouts alongside the vendor's project team.
- Coordinate testing, training, go-live activities, and change management for new features and configurations.
User Support & Training
- Serve as the primary point of contact for end-user ERP support, troubleshooting issues and delivering timely solutions to minimize business disruption.
- Develop and deliver training programs, onboarding materials, and knowledge base content that build user confidence and adoption of best practices.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Bridge communication between plant floor teams, corporate management, IT, and the ERP vendor.
- Collaborate with IT on infrastructure, security, and integration needs related to the ERP platform.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- 3+ years of experience administering a manufacturing or distribution ERP system (Epicor, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) - candidates must have hands-on experience with at least one manufacturing-focused ERP platform.
- Experience in a high-volume SKU, high-mix manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong working knowledge of core ERP manufacturing/distribution modules: Inventory, Purchasing, Sales Orders, Warehouse Management, Quality, Finance, MRP, and BOM.
- Experience with system configuration, workflow design, and user access/security management.
- Experience with SQL and ERP reporting tools.
- Comfort using AI-assisted configuration, reporting, and support tools within a modern ERP platform.
- Proven ability to gather cross-functional requirements and translate them into system solutions.
- Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills - able to bridge technical vendor teams and non-technical business users.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Epicor (Kinetic or CMS) or NetSuite specifically.
- Experience with EDI integrations, ERP business rules/APIs, and reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or similar.
- Participation in ERP upgrades, migrations, or full-cycle implementations.
- Exposure to AI/automation copilot features within an ERP platform (e.g., automated invoice matching, AI-assisted forecasting or reporting).
- Experience in the firearms industry or another regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, onsite position based in West Palm Beach, FL. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available for this role. Work is normally performed in a climate-controlled environment No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of job duties.
