Universal Services is the enterprise IT solutions center for the departments and offices of Harris County, providing Information Technology, Public Safety and Justice Technologies, 311 Constituent Engagement Services, Fleet Services, and Records and Information Governance Services.

Position Overview:
Harris County Universal Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior PeopleSoft Developer that has extensive experience in supporting ERP systems, including designing and development of PeopleSoft FSCM or HCM systems, upgrades, and project migration. Works closely with business analysts and/or key users, assessing business needs and determining/implementing information technology solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Develops and maintains PeopleSoft applications, including performance tuning, troubleshooting, ongoing maintenance, and the resolution of system issues • Designs, codes, and unit test complex projects • Participates in the technical design and coding of interfaces, data conversions, reports, and customizations providing the required functionality not supplied by the ERP package • Collaborates with internal users, staff members, and information technology colleagues to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces while assessing value in modification to delivered software versus building new functionality • Recognized as a subject matter expert in multiple technical areas and serves as a lead technical resource on projects • Coordinates directly with the functional lead and customer to ensure that a high level of satisfaction is achieved and maintained

Requirements
Education: Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related field
Experience: 8+ years of experience with Peoplesoft Financials or Peoplesoft HCM 9.2 and above
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• PeopleTools 8.55 or above • Application Engines, Application Packages, SQLs, and PeopleCode • Integration Broker • PeopleSoft ExcelToCiFluid pages, dash boards, activity guides, event mapping, drop zones, page field configuration, page composer, work centers • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent problem-solving skills • Excellent ability to organize information, manage tasks and use available tools to effectively contribute to an organization • Excellent time management and organizational skills
