ERP Application Support Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) Specialist for a direct placement for a hybrid opportunity with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC.

Having a solid finance and accounting business awareness, a key competency of the role will be the ability to design, develop and implement data-driven analytics and reporting solutions using Oracle FDI.  The individual will work closely with internal business users to understand their needs, gather data and deliver insightful analytics. This role requires expertise in Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (ERP, EPM) and a strong understanding of data extraction, transformation, and visualization. Project Management across the full SDLC is a plus for this position.  The scope of the role supports financial business users in North America and EMEA locations.
 

Responsibilities:

• Engage with Business: gather business requirements and understand reporting needs across various Oracle Fusion modules (ERP, EPM).
•  Design and Develop Analytics: create dashboards, KPIs and reports using FDI to support business decision-making
•  Build custom subject areas and semantic models: customize FDI to support specific business user cases.
• Develop advanced reports: create pixel-prefect reports using BI Publisher and other tools.
•  Perform data integration and transformation: design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Optimize data warehouse performance: ensure efficient data processing and query execution.
•  Train and support end users: provide training and ongoing support to help users effectively leverage FDI.
• Provide technical expertise: offer guidance on Oracle FDI architecture, data modeling, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams: work with business stakeholders, analysts, developers, project managers and other internal/external teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Stay updated on Oracle FDI enhancements and industry trends: keep abreast on new features and best practices
• End user requirements management (25%)
   Designing, configuring, developing, testing, and improving Oracle Financials platform. (30%)
• Project Management (5%)
• Production support for FDI issues. (40%)

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle Analytics offerings, including FDI, OAC, OBIEE etc
•  Strong expertise in data warehousing concepts, including ETL, data pipelines and semantic modelling withing FDI
• Proven ability to build advanced analytics, KPIs, and data visualizations within FDI
• Experience in Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM data structures, with the ability to integrate multiple Oracle Cloud modules
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, data transformations, BI Publisher, OTBI, and BICC, as well as Oracle’s built-in analytics tools
•  Experience in performance tuning and data security policies within FDI
•  Good finance and accounting knowledge
• Ability to independently lead FDI projects, engage with business, conduct requirement-gathering sessions, and provide data-driven solutions
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to drive consensus and absorb and present complex ideas in a succinct and accurate manner.
•  Have a team oriented approach
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle FDI is a must
•  Experience in finance and accounting industry a plus
•  Should have strong English communication and writing skills
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Must be willing to work in an energetic, fast paced and team-oriented development environment 
•  Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively is a necessity
• Minimum 5+ year PL/SQL, BIP, OTBI, ETL experience is a must 
• University Degree/Preferably in a field related to computer science/software engineering or finance/accounting
• Oracle FDI certification a plus
• Must be willing to work some weekends and late nights to support production, upgrades, changes, and user support via on-call rotation.

• Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams 
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
• Project Management skills a plus
• Hands-on experience with Oracle FDI with a number of Financial Modules such as, General Ledger, Assets, Payables, Accounting Hub, EDMCS, FCCS and etc.
• Some travel - approximately 5% or less

 

Pay range: $160,000 - $180,000 per year
