Role Summary
The ERP Data Integration Analyst will support data integration and migration activities across D365, Dynamics 365 Project Operations, Procore, and multiple enterprise systems.
This role is responsible for defining and documenting data mappings, writing and validating transformation rules, developing functional design documentation, supporting testing efforts, and ensuring data integrity throughout the integration lifecycle.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, internal technical teams, implementation partners, and project managers to translate data requirements into clearly defined specifications that developers can execute.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to analyze large datasets, and the capability to identify, troubleshoot, and lead resolution of data-related issues across systems.
Key Responsibilities
Data Mapping, Transformation & Integration Support
" Create and maintain detailed data mapping documents, including field definitions, transformation rules, and data flow logic
" Write and validate transformation rules to ensure accurate data movement between systems
" Analyze source and target system data structures and define mapping logic across integrations
" Support integration design efforts by documenting requirements in a format consumable by development teams
" Collaborate with integration teams leveraging MuleSoft, APIs, and other integration methods (no development required)
Data Validation & Quality Assurance
" Perform comprehensive data validation including:
Validation of transformation logic
Validation between source and target systems
Validation against key reports and business outputs
Validation within target systems post-integration
" Analyze large datasets (primarily Excel) to identify discrepancies, exceptions, and data quality issues
" Define and execute reconciliation and data quality checks
" Trace and validate data requirements across data entity templates, functional design documents, DevOps artifacts, and reporting outputs
Testing & Defect Resolution
" Support downstream data updates into Dynamics Project Operations as part of migration processes
" Lead unit testing, integration testing, data migration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts
" Create detailed test cases aligned to data mappings and transformation rules
" Identify, analyze, and lead resolution of data-related defects and bugs
" Partner with development and integration teams to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes
Data Migration Support
" Support data migration activities from Viewpoint to D365 F&O, including mapping updates and validation
" Ensure alignment of migrated data with downstream systems including Dynamics 365 Project Operations
" Work as part of a broader team supporting data migration and integration execution
Business & Technical Collaboration
" Communicate effectively across both functional and technical audiences
" Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and clarify data requirements
" Lead meetings to review data requirements, mapping logic, and design documentation
" Collaborate with implementation partner consultants to review solution design, custom development, and configuration impacts to data
" Work closely with stakeholders, business owners, and project managers across multiple workstreams
" Translate business needs into structured, actionable documentation for development teams
Documentation, Training & Governance
" Assist business users in understanding how data flows across systems and applications
" Develop and maintain Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and data integration documentation
" Create user guides outlining data definitions, field usage, and system data flows
" Maintain documentation of integration processes, decisions, and configurations
" Lead and manage assigned stories and tasks within DevOps tools
" Ensure alignment across data requirements, mappings, design documentation, and delivery artifacts

Required Qualifications
" 8+ years of experience supporting ERP systems with a focus on data mapping, integration, or data analysis
" Experience working with ERP financial systems and familiarity with core financial and business processes
" Strong experience in data mapping, transformation rules, and data validation processes
" Proven ability to work with large datasets (Excel-heavy analysis) to identify data issues and exceptions
" Experience supporting ERP data integrations in complex system environments
" Experience creating test cases and supporting full testing lifecycle (unit, integration, UAT)
" Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and lead resolution of data-related defects
" Experience creating Functional Design Documents and structured technical documentation
" Strong communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
" Ability to lead discussions, influence stakeholders, and operate without formal authority
Preferred Qualifications
" Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O and/or Project Operations)
" Experience in construction, project-based, or job cost accounting environments
" Familiarity with Procore integrations
" SQL experience
" Agile delivery environment (2-week sprints)
" Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools
" Understanding of integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft) and API-based integrations
" Experience supporting large-scale ERP data migration initiatives
