ERP Logistic Support Analyst

The Department of Administrations Division of Enterprise Applications (DEA) SC Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) team is seeking an ERP Logistic Support Analyst to join our team. We are in growth mode, and it is an exciting time to be a contributing member of SCEIS! SCEIS is the backbone of our business processes and ultimately empowers decision makers to improve government for the citizens. If you enjoy working at the intersection of people, process, and technology, and motivated by a fast paced, multi-tasked and transforming environment, then this position could be for you! You will serve as a functional resource for the enterprise enhancement and primary support on the Logistics Team of SCEIS, and as such implement and maintain related functionality in SAP and other software products. This role will work closely with other DEA team members, management, and other outside agencies to support the on-going development of system enhancements to include identification, testing, documentation, and training activities.This critical role is ideal for a critical thinker and skilled analytical professional who excels at cross-functional collaboration with a deep understanding of Enterprise Resource (ERP) systems. This position is onsite in Columbia, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support to state agencies for the resolution of support requests/incidents logged by the Help Desk. Act as a subject matter resource for logistics and procurement modules by diagnosing issues, recreating user scenarios, and delivering timely, effective solutions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for reviewing, analyzing, and resolving organizational structure (org) change requests.
  • Drive cross-training initiatives within the team to ensure continuity of operations, build functional depth, and reduce single points of failure. Develop/maintain training materials and knowledge transfer tools.
  • Partner with internal teams, stakeholders, and external agencies to identify opportunities for process enhancements, system improvements, and better user experiences.
  • Support system updates by documenting requirements, developing test scripts, and participating in testing cycles to ensure successful implementation of enhancements.
  • Deliver or support training sessions, create user-friendly documentation, and communicate system updates to a wide range of stakeholders.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • A bachelors degree in business administration, information systems, computer science or a related field and relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience in ERP systems implementation and/or governmental procurement can be substituted for the required degree on a year-by-year basis.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work with and coordinate the efforts of a diverse group of professionals at all levels of an agency.
  • Candidate must possess excellent customer service skills and approach to dealing with people at all levels by providing pleasant, professional and courteous interaction.
  • Knowledge of processes related to contracting, bidding, procurement regulations, shopping carts, purchase orders, inventory management and/or sales and distribution.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and to maintain a high level of knowledge of enterprise systems.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to present in front of large and small audiences.
  • Position may require overnight travel.
  • Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends.
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of SC Consolidated Procurement Code and Regulations.
  • Understanding of procurement and/or inventory processes.
  • Experience using SAP, Ivalua, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
