Job Description Summary
The ERP Platform Developer plays a critical role in advancing this platform by designing, building, and maintaining integrations and custom applications that connect Workday and Ariba with internal and external systems. This position emphasizes modern integration practices using Workday Studio, Connectors, EIBs, Web Services, and Orchestrate, alongside custom app development in Workday Extend.
In addition, the role will contribute to the early-stage transition to SAP Ariba's Business Technology Platform (BTP), helping strengthen our Ariba integration capacity and guiding adoption of new capabilities such as Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors. This is a unique opportunity to work in a mature ERP environment while also shaping the next phase of innovation and platform evolution.
What You Will Do:
- Design and maintain integrations between Workday/Ariba and external systems
- Develop and maintain custom Workday Extend applications
- Support integrations across Workday HCM, Payroll, Financials, and SAP Ariba
- Build and optimize Ariba master and transactional data integrations
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and monitor integrations
- Contribute to SAP Ariba BTP transition initiatives
- Apply software engineering principles to integration lifecycle management
- Provide on-call support and troubleshooting for integration environments

Top 5 hard skills:
- Web service/API technologies expertise (WSDL, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, XSLT)
- Programming proficiency (Java, Python, or Groovy)
- Experience with master and transactional data integrations for Cloud-based ERP platforms
- 3-5 years Workday integration development experience (Studio, Cloud Connector, EIBs, Web Services REST/SOAP, Orchestration)

- 3-5 years Ariba integration development experience (REST APIs, ITK, Configuration Management)

30 Day:
- Complete onboarding and system access setup
- Understand current Workday/Ariba integration architecture for FRB
- Shadow team on existing integration workflows (virtually)
- Review documentation for current integrations (Developer Playbooks, Naming Standards, design templates, code review checklist)
60 Day:
- Begin contributing to active integration development projects
- Take ownership of smaller integration maintenance tasks
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning
90 Day:
- Independently design and develop integrations
- Provide on-call support rotation
- Contribute to BTP transition planning
- Full integration into team workflows and deliverables
