Job Responsibilities
The ERP Systems Analyst serves as a technical and functional lead for enterprise systems with primary responsibility for ERP platform administration, ERP implementation support, system integrations, data analysis, and business process transformation across the College. This role is a key contributor to the Colleges ERP modernization initiative, supports analysis, configuration, integration, and processes redesign efforts to ensure successful implementation and long-term optimization of enterprise systems. Acts as a liaison between IT, vendors, and business units to ensure enterprise applications align with institutional goals, data governance standards, and scalable architecture.
ERP Implementation & Modernization - Participates in ERP selection, implementation, and deployment activities. Supports functional and technical workstreams including system configuration, testing, and validation. Supports data migration, cleansing, mapping, and reconciliation efforts. Coordinates with stakeholders and vendors throughout the implementation lifecycle. Assists with post-go-live stabilization and system optimization.
ERP Integration & Systems Architecture - Designs, implements, and maintains integrations between ERP and enterprise systems (SIS, CRM, document management, facilities systems, etc.). Supports APIs, file transfers, middleware/iPaaS solutions, and data exchange processes (including secure agency transfers for W-2, 1095-C, and 1098 forms). Ensures integrations are secure, reliable, and scalable. Documents integration architecture and data flows.
ERP Administration & Platform Ownership - Serves as primary administrator for ERP platform including configuration, security, workflows, and modules (including the Colleges Retention and Early Alert Software and lab login systems). Supports ERP lifecycle: implementation, optimization, upgrades, and continuous improvement. Monitors system performance and resolve issues in coordination with vendors. Ensures ERP aligns with institutional standards, policies, and data governance practices.
Business Process Improvement & Transformation - Leads cross-functional business process analysis and redesign aligned with ERP best practices. Identifies opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency gains within HR, Finance, and Financial Aid. Documents current and future-state workflows. Supports organizational change and adoption of improved processes.
Application Support, Training & Change Management - Provides enterprise-wide application support and troubleshooting, utilizing the SCC Help Desk for all tracking. Develops and delivers user training related to ERP and enterprise systems, encouraging end-user reporting independence. Supports user adoption, change management, and transition to new system processes. Maintains documentation for system configuration, customizations, integrations, reports, and workflows. Supports data governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
Data Analysis & Reporting - Develops and supports reporting solutions using institutional tools SQL, EAB, Power BI. Analyzes enterprise data to deliver actionable insights for leadership and departments (including active support during the annual fiscal Budget Process and SCIES compliance). Supports development of standardized reporting and dashboards aligned to institutional KPIs and Accreditation. Ensures data accuracy and consistency across systems.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelors degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience in ERP systems (Ellucian Colleague preferred), including implementation, upgrades, and integrations. Skilled in APIs, middleware, SQL, data analysis, and visualization (e.g., Power BI). Strong understanding of databases, enterprise data structures, and process improvement.
Additional Comments
Occasional night and/or weekend hours may be required for scheduled events.
