Job Overview:
Pay Range: $51.40hr - $66.71hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Specialized knowledge in a safety specialty such as Personal Protective Equipment, lockout/tagout, fall protection, excavation, or People Based Safety.
- Knowledge of engineering disciplines such as civil, process safety, or mechanical engineering.
- Knowledge of safety management, monitoring programs, principles, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of safety and health laws and regulations and applicable agencies' permitting processes and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of engineering, construction, and subcontract work processes.
- Proficiency with computer applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as required, including nightshift or split shift.
Responsibilities:
- Assists execution of the safety component of an ESH Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.
- Helps prepare and implement Safety and Health Management Plans, associated plans and procedures, and training program.
- Provides input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups to assure that safety and health requirements are integrated within project planning and execution.
- Interprets safety and health requirements and provides comprehensive assistance on plan preparation, risk assessment, and ESH program execution.
- Researches moderately complex issues and regulatory requirements and prepares documentation and reports.
- Provides support and guidance for safety studies, risk assessments, and program reviews and audits.
- Participates in emergency response and incident investigation and resolution.
- Interfaces and communicates with stakeholders and helps resolve their concerns.
- Participates in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conducts ESH inspections and monitoring to identify hazards and risks, evaluate controls and corrective actions, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, and project requirements.

Qualification And Education:
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) related to occupational safety, health, industrial engineering, public health, or process/mechanical engineering.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):
- Ability to conduct field inspections including extensive walking in and around a construction site.
- Ability to work in high heat and high humidity conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Ability to climb scaffolding.
- Ability to work on elevated platforms.
- Ability to work on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to work in small or confined spaces.
- Ability to lift.
- Ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).
- Ability to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as harness, life vest, and lift buckets.
