Overview:

The Escrow Assistant I/Scheduler must believe in, practice and initiate all Green Brick Partners’ values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how he or she approaches their role at Green Brick Partners.

 

The Escrow Assistant – Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and managing closing schedules for transactions involving our in-house builder. This role serves as a central point of communication between builders, lenders, buyers, and real estate agents to ensure that all required parties are aligned and prepared for closing. The Scheduler also supports the escrow process by ordering HOA documents and performing administrative tasks as needed. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Contact and coordinate with the builder, lenders, buyers, and real estate agents to schedule closings efficiently and in alignment with builder and company timelines
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date closing calendar, ensuring all parties receive timely notifications and updates
  • Follow up on missing information or documents needed to confirm closing dates
  • Provide professional, timely communication with all stakeholders throughout the scheduling process
  • Order HOA documents as required for transactions
  • Communicate with internal escrow staff regarding file status, updates, or issues requiring attention
  • Provide friendly, timely, and accurate updates to buyers, agents, and lenders as needed
  • Respond to routine inquiries and escalate complex issues to Escrow Officers or management as needed
  • Participate in ongoing training on escrow processes and company procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ service with Green Brick Title, or similar experience with another title company.
  • Proficient with Qualia.
  • Escrow License required for regulatory compliance with transaction functions.
  • Notary Public, required.
  • Strong knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry, particularly related to single family development and lot takedowns
  • High level understanding title exceptions and curative actions.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
