Escrow Specialist (Mortgage Servicing)LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established financial services organization seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the administration of escrow (impound) accounts. This role is ideal for candidates with experience handling property taxes, homeowners insurance, and escrow account maintenance-not real estate closings. This is fully onsite, Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and is paying up to 25/hr.
Responsibilities- Manage mortgage escrow (impound) accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Review, update, and maintain property tax and homeowners insurance information.
- Process tax and insurance payments while ensuring compliance with company and investor guidelines.
- Research and resolve escrow discrepancies, shortages, surpluses, and payment issues.
- Communicate with taxing authorities, insurance carriers, borrowers, and internal departments to obtain and verify account information.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the mortgage servicing system.
- Assist with escrow analyses and account maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work is completed accurately while meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Perform additional mortgage servicing duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Previous mortgage servicing experience is required.
- Experience managing escrow (impound) accounts, property taxes, or homeowners insurance.
- Experience processing escrow transactions or maintaining tax and insurance records.
- Strong data entry and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
