Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking an End Stream Delivery (ESD) Chemical Coordinator to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The End Stream Delivery (ESD)Chemical Coordinator implements the company’s Chemical Management Program; a comprehensive Chemical Safety and Lifecycle Management Program in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations and Company Chemical Management procedures. Serves to minimize the impact on workers, facility, and the environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a chemical inventory within the company’s prescribed chemical database approved to comply with procedures and regulations.
- Verifies and updates inventory information for chemical products stored and used within assigned area.
- Creates new and/or revised MSDS/SDS sheets and forwards to appropriate parties. Updates systems.
- Resolves issues and discrepancies, notifying management for further actions necessary.
- Guides organization personnel on the receipt, storage, and use of chemicals.
- Acts as point of contact and subject matter expert. Provides program training and communication to ensure chemical compliance.
- Performs physical assessment where chemicals are stored ensuring containers are properly labeled and inspected.
- Reviews chemical procurement requests.
- Ensures chemicals beyond expiration or no longer of use are removed and properly disposed.
- Assists in the preparation of reports.
- Works with Fire Protection to ensure inventory levels do not exceed fire limits.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma and practical work experience in chemical purchasing, inventory, storage, disposal or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree
- General understanding of the chemical industry or facility production operations.
- Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910.1200, Hazard Communication
- Knowledge of NFPA 704
- Knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS)

Minimum Pay:
USD $69,000.00/Yr.
Maximum Pay:
USD $124,000.00/Yr.
