Are you a passionate Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Teacher dedicated to helping students reach their full potential? A well-established private school near downtown Miami is seeking a Florida-certified ESE Teacher to join its team. What You'll Do
Provide specialized instruction to exceptional students in an inclusion classroom.
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools pacing guide.
Deliver instruction in accordance with each student's Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Provide appropriate academic accommodations and modifications based on student needs.
Foster students' academic, social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor student progress through assessments and maintain accurate academic and developmental records.
Maintain attendance, grades, and required documentation.
Collaborate with parents, administrators, therapists, social workers, and other educational professionals to support student success.
Participate in IEP meetings, faculty meetings, professional development, and required trainings.
Promote positive behavior using effective classroom management strategies.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies, state regulations, and inclusion practices.
Follow emergency procedures and school safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education (ESE) or eligibility to obtain certification required.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
Experience teaching students with exceptional learning needs preferred.
Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and educational technology.
Ability to learn and utilize school database systems.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
