The Role:
The teacher will be responsible for teaching ESL to Grades 9-12 English Learners (ELs) at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with general education colleagues and the SEI team on key instructional initiatives, including planning instruction aligned with the WIDA ELD Standards, the Massachusetts State Frameworks, and the MLE Department ESL curriculum. In this role, you will set high expectations for all students and utilize the SIOP framework to plan instruction that includes robust scaffolding and differentiation to support diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a deep commitment to partnering with diverse families and creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters mutual respect and cultural sensitivity.
