ESP supporting Kindergarten- 2nd grade

An ESP (Educational Support Professional), or Teaching Assistant, provides hands-on support to the Special Education Teacher when implementing lessons or supporting instruction in the classroom. This includes working with small groups of students with and without disabilities and, at times, providing individual assistance to students in the school. ESPs may assist with behavior management during lessons, track a student's behavior, and set up classroom materials before and during class.

Skills and Qualifications: Good written and verbal communication Assist teachers in classroom management and instruction. Ability to work individually and in small groups with children Knowledge of classroom subjects. Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to operate computers and tablets. Keyboarding skills and using educational software. Maintain confidentiality.
