Job Details
  • Plan and draft high net worth estate and tax planning documents for individuals, families, and business owners
  • Draft Intentionally Defective Trusts, Spousal Limited Access Trusts, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Charitable Lead and Remainder Trusts, and Grantor Retained Trusts
  • Advise clients on wealth preservation, asset protection, and tax reduction strategies across federal and New York State estate tax systems
  • Counsel clients on credit shelter trusts, gifting strategies, and charitable giving to minimize New York estate tax exposure
  • Counsel clients on planning for long-term care costs and Medicaid considerations
  • Prepare Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, Wills, and Disposition of Remains Appointments
  • Utilize Clio, NetDocuments, and Wealth Docs for legal case management

Looking For:

  • J.D. and licensed to practice in New York
  • 4+ years focused on high net worth estate and tax planning
  • Strong background drafting IDTs, SLATs, revocable and irrevocable trusts, charitable lead and remainder trusts, and grantor retained trusts
  • Experience advising HNW clients on asset protection, wealth transfer, and estate tax planning at both federal and state levels
